In what is perhaps the biggest step towards becoming a black belt, Cathryn Millares was promoted to purple belt this past Monday at Paramount BJJ in Downingtown, PA. Achieving a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is especially significant because it is widely regarded as the first acknowledgement of advanced BJJ skill.

Cathryn has shown her dedication to Jiu-Jitsu through her perseverance in overcoming obstacles and work ethic both on and off the mats. Her competition results speak for themselves yet she remains unsatisfied, continuing to push herself to achieve better results by maintaining high standards for herself.

She is a great representative for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community and a role model for women and young ladies. She is showing all of the signs of a future black belt.
