Earlier in the year two students were promoted to blue belt. On March 6th, Joci Letscher, having just turned 16 a few days before, became the youngest student in Paramount BJJ history to reach blue belt. In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the adult ranking system (blue through black belt) is only available once a person is 16. Having trained for a couple of years prior, Joci was promoted as soon as she was eligible.
On April 10th Ray Martin was promoted to blue belt. Ray had only been training at Paramount for a few months but with a strong wrestling background he is quickly adapting to and learning Jiu-Jitsu.
