This past weekend  Paramount Brazilian Jiu-jitsu brought a team of 38 students to compete in a tournament held by the non profit organization “Tap Cancer Out” in Downingtown, PA. Jiu-jitsu competitors from all over the Philadelphia area came to compete and support a great cause.  The organization was able to raise over $62k that will go to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Here are some of the results of Paramount BJJ competitiors:

fullsizerender-2Melissa Landrum won Gold, while Cathryn Millares earned Bronze.

fullsizerender-7Hrithik Sangani competed in the adult division for the first time and took Gold.

fullsizerender-9Jacques McAllister earned Silver after 3 battles.

fullsizerender-6Justin Mazzi, the top fundraiser for the entire event, also took the top spot on the podium.

fullsizerender-5Brett Landrum won Gold after 3 hard-fought victories.

fullsizerender-3Zach Fahrenholtz returned to competition after several years and after 3 matches he earned a Silver medal.
